"The larger wheel band works great but the accelerator band broke immediately even with the accelerator wheel set closest to the spindle for minimal tension. So, I would rate the main drive band as great and the accelerator band as poor. I found a rubber band works for the accelerator wheel, so the main drive band was what I was looking for primarily."

"I have ordered from the Woolery before and I am always happy with the products they sell and their service. I ordered the poly band to go on my new charkha. I had read that the cotton band that comes with the charkha can be a bit harder to spin with. It is easy to apply and makes spinning easier. Thank you."

"The bands certainly make the Charkha functional, so much better than a string band. It takes some practice, but I was able to spin cotton. It was my first attempt at spinning with a charkha, which was a good learning experience. I normally spin cotton on my wheel."

"Secondary band was too short for the (book) Charkha that I just ordered from you folks. Not really satisfactory. If I stretched the band enough to fit it was way over tensioned and could not be turned."

"If you are thinking about upgrading, do it. You will not be sorry. I've only been spinning a couple of months and still have a lot to learn. These bands make it so much easier. I was spinning raw cotton with them and it came out better than the punis I used with the original rope bands."
