Rug Hooking Yarns
Just about any yarn can be used for rug hooking provided that you have an appropriately sized hook. However, depending on what you’re making will determine what type of yarn will be best. Also keep in mind that that silky yarns with a lot of slip to them might be more difficult to hook as they can slide out of place and create uneven loops.
Rug wool yarn is coarser and tends to withstand long-term use making it suitable for pillows and rugs. You can also hook with different yarn weights. Our selection of rug hooking yarns ranges from worsted to super bulky; if it can be gripped with your hook, you can hook it!
