This wool / cellulose blend is produced to enhance both fibers properties. The viscose type fibers blended with wool have the look and feel of wool/silk. The wool/cellulose products have the advantage of being less expensive than the silk blends.

When dying, the dyes will strike differently making amazing fiber!

It's super soft, with a bit of 'crunch' which makes it simple to spin.

"My previous review mentioned a blending issue. I learned this particular blend, when spun with my drop spindle, wants to only be split draft into 8ths and not 16ths, so not so thin, and then plied on the fly, giving a 3 ply. The 3 ply is very pleasant to the touch, and seems loftier and softer than my singles I spun worsted. If done as stated above, I'd say this is a win for sure! Personally I may not purchase this one again, simply because I do have others that are more of a favorite for me, and so many more I have left to try too!"

So silky!

"I docked one star because I wish the bamboo was more blended with the Marino wool. Since it's added in strips, sometimes there are bunches when drafting, and it wasn't as consistent as I feel it could have been. This is also my first ""more advanced"" fiber spinning on a drop spindle. I split and pre-draft all my fibers before spinning up. I'd say this is intermediate to advanced spinner level fiber. I've only been spinning 5 months when writing this review. Don't let my taking a star away deter you from trying this fiber! It's so silky soft! I think I would like it better if I had a way to blend it better, or just got Marino top, and not a blend with differing staple lengths. 109oz spun up to 108 yards DK/Sport single ply so far. I usually wait to write reviews until I've spun the whole bag up, but I was too excited to wait!"
