This Long-wool combed top has a lot of crimp which produces a soft bouncy yarn. The fiber feels finer than the micron count would suggest.
The grey is a blend of dyed black BFL and natural white BFL.

"Excellent quality roving for spinning. This was quality roving for spinning and I had a very pleasant time spinning. Nicely prepared for spinning. Would be an excellent choice for beginners to start with. The only regret I have would be I would have spun slightly smaller to achieve a smaller gauge of finished yarn after double plying and wet finish it but this is my fault as I wasn’t aware that BFL “blooms” more than I’m used to with other breeds of wool. So if you are wanting to achieve a certain gauge you should spin, ply and wet finish a sample first."
"The BFL top spun up beautifully and created a lovely yarn, I love spinning grey fiber because it creates a beautiful yarn as is or can be dyed which creates a colorful yarn with the grey as a base color."
"It's like spinning a cloud. Fine, soft, and smooth, with just enough color variation to give it character."
"Soo soft and easy to spin. Getting top even is a bit hard for me but it knits up so nice anyway. Cannot wait to wear it. Thank you."
"Beautiful wool and so easy to spin! I spun it in worsted on an Ashford Kiwi, then two-plyed it. The yarn came out consistent and very soft. I can't wait to knit it into a sweater!"
"Stripes were a little less defined than pictured but it is beautiful fiber and spins so smoothly!"
"Hi, I just opened my package of wool and drop spindle! I love the feel of that wool! Did manage to spin a little of my wool into yarn. So this was my 1st at spinning. I was a little tense. I really like it, but it going to take some time to be productive. Thank you."
"This wool was a pleasure to spin on a turkish spindle. Going to make a very warm winter hat!"
"I'm a beginner spinner, just using a drop spindle. The fiber I was given to train on was okay, but I heard BFL would be easier so I gave it a try. It's true! So much easier. I'm still just a newbie, but this fiber gave me more confidence."
