"This was easy to put together and understand how to use. I am a new spinner and am excited to make my own yarn."
"I just used it for the first time last night and I am so pleased! It is a solid tool, easy to assemble and the adjustable tension is great! I used it to ply my singles and then to wind from the bobbin onto my niddy noddy. I can't believe I went so long without one!"
"I'm just learning to spin and this is my first lazy Kate. I bought this one specifically because it was able to fit the electric eel bobbins, the height of the pins is tall enough. There is a little wiggle room between the pin and the bobbin and it makes a little clacking noise, but I preferred to get a well made, wooden, lazy kate, and this seems to do the job fine."
"Using a tensioned lazy Kate is a dream compared to the standard one on my Ashford wheel. It's sturdy and great quality, well worth the money for an extremely *less* frustrating time plying."
"Beautifully crafted and makes plying a dream! The woolery customer service is top notch. Packaged well and fast delivery! You have a customer for life."
"It's such a luxury to have a tensioned lazy kate. It's good quality, easy to store, and is just right."
"Beautiful wood! Tensions the bobbins for plying. Well made."
"This is a very nice Lazy Kate! Works best elevated but I’m very happy with its performance!"
"I have just started trying to use my lazy Kate and so far so good. I am new to spinning but found the lazy Kate more convenient then trying to ply off the kiwi wheel that I have."
"Hi! My name is Ann. We own a small flock of Shetland sheep and I just got into spinning about two years ago and plan on selling hand spun yarn. My husband Jerry was sweet enough to buy me the Ashford Lazy Kate (and a bunch of bobbins, flyer hooks, and a yarn ball holder) to get me up and running! I have used the Lazy Kate quite a few times already and I really like how easy it is to change the tension for plying. I spin on an antique CPW and the old girl is FAST, so tension is extremely important when plying. The craftsmanship on the wood is just beautiful as well. Shipping was much faster than I expected considering the folks at The Woolery were having to ship to me after a major ice storm had happened. I was impressed with the communication from the company as well. We will be back in the future for our spinning needs."
