Frames - Hoops - Hangers

A sturdy, well made embroidery hoop is a must have for most crafters.  The Woolery offers several different types of hoops to meet the needs of our customers!

For rug hooking and rug punching, sturdiness counts as you are working with heavier materials than you do with other crafts that use a hoop. While gripper strip frames are favored by many rug hookers and rug punchers for that reason, they are expensive. A good, heavy duty hoop works well for the budget minded or for people new to the craft and would rather dip their toe into it instead of purchasing more expensive equipment to start out with.

The Morgan No Slip Hoops are perfect for this use as they are heavier and sturdier than wood or bamboo hoops, they also have a longer adjustment screw to be able to accommodate the thicker materials used in both rug hooking and rug punching.  You can get a single hoop or a set with extensions to make the hoops work together as a stand.  The stand is particularly useful when working on a larger project as it can take the strain off of your hands from holding the hoop while punching or hooking.

For people who don’t need that heavy of a hoop, we have the wooden hoops that are best suited for needle punch embroidery. The hoops are lighter which suits the more delicate materials that are used in all types of embroidery.  They are sturdy enough to travel with and are sturdier than the less expensive plastic hoops you can see in other craft stores. The tension adjustment screws are small but not tiny, making them easier to adjust than some other hoops.

For knitters, we have metal sock blockers and blocking wires to make sure your projects are perfectly shaped after you knit them. Blocking is a great technique to make your finished projects have that little extra love to make them shine!
