Manos del Uruguay

Manos del Uruguay started in 1968 a group of five friends shared their thoughts on the lack of opportunities of rural women during that time. They planned on selling the simple objects that the women were already making, like horse saddle pads and wool blankets. After their success they started organizing workshops all around the country. 

Manos del Uruguay sells and makes a multitude of products ranging from clothing, to bags, to blankets, and to yarn. The yarn they make is women made and comes in solid colors as well as multi-colored.
