The Louet is available as top whorl spindle (the whorl is near the top when spinning) and a bottom whorl spindle. Top or bottom whorl refers to the location of the whorl, relative to the hook which your yarn will run through. The whorl features decorative sheep heads. This drop spindle weighs 77.1g (2.7 oz.) and is unfinished. The whorl of the drop spindle is made of birch plywood and the shaft is made of ramin.
