Deanne Fitzpatrick is a fabric artist, rug hooker, and writer based in Amherst, Nova Scotia. She is widely recognized as one of the world’s prominent modern rug hookers. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Museum of History, and she is the author of East Coast Rug-Hooking Designs, Hook Me a Story, and Rug-Hooking. She works from her studio in downtown Amherst, Nova Scotia, and she writes and teaches on her website, www.hookingrugs.com.
