Doesn’t work well
"The race was a bit more complicated to install than I had anticipated, but not difficult. I am not at all pleased with it, however. It simply sits too high and decreases the shed. I’ve taken mine off. If I can lower it, fine, otherwise it’s an expensive failure."
I am finding the Ashford
"I am finding the Ashford Table Loom Shuttle Race a little difficult to get used to. The race makes the shed opening a little bit narrow and it does require me to advance my warp threads more often. However, it does keep me from throwing my shuttle through the warp threads. It takes some getting used to and overall I'm glad that I made the purchase."
It works perfectly!
"I am very happy with the shuttle race on my 24 inch table loom. It sits right where it needs to against the lower threads when a shed is opened, as you can see in the image. There was a slight learning curve in figuring out the correct angle to throw the shuttle (needs to angle slightly toward the reed), but once I got the hang of it the project I had on the loom when I installed the race progressed twice as fast as it did using a stick shuttle. The difference was astonishing! It's fun and effective, I highly recommend."

"It works as a shuttle race but is awkward to use. It says the race flips out of the way of the beater when beating but this was not ideal. Also it was impossible to use with a temple."

Wonderful loom addition!
"Bought this for my 24” afford table loom so I could keep weaving through disabilities. Shuttle race was easy to add on and works great for my Schacht slim boat shuttles. It does make for smaller sheds but it’s well worth purchasing."
