This heavy fingering/sport weight yarn is made of super-soft 100% Pima Cotton and is perfect for drapey shawls, garments, and more. Jam-packed with over 900 yards per ball, most projects can be done with just one or two cakes.

Pima is a high-end cotton cultivar with a longer staple length (1.4” – 2.0”) longer than conventional cotton (~1.1”).

Originally developed by crossing Egyptian varieties with Sea Island cotton in the early 19th century, Pima is named for the Pima Indians of Arizona who helped perfect the cultivar in the early 20th century.
