What's New At The Woolery - February

We're always adding new items to our selection. Sometimes we have so many new things that they slip past unnoticed! We're going to highlight some of our favorite new items that we want to make sure don't get lost in the shuffle.
Shetland is one of our absolute favorite conservation breed wools. It it's a joy to spin and makes beautiful yarn. We've carried different colors of natural Shetland before but this is the first time we've carried dyed colors of it. The palette is full of lovely jewel tones that could be paired together to make classic projects. This fiber comes in 250g bags.
This book would be a great addition to any dye library. It's all about using natural plants to create color. It has everything from natural food dye to inks for screen printing. We like that it also includes complete projects that you can make with your plant inks like a block printed tote bag.
Kromski Needle Felting Kit - Toadstool
We love the Kromski needle felting kits because they come with absolutely everything you need to make a complete project. This one makes an adorable little toadstool, so it might be taking the top spot of our favorite Kromski felting kit. It's cute on it's own but it would be beyond cute if you paired it with the Kromski Gnome Felting Kit.
You answered that you wanted more breed specific yarns in our yarn survey last year, so we're listening! This is a 100% Blue Faced Leicester Wool from Cascade. It's a Worsted Weight yarn so it works great in an 8 dent heddle for rigid heddle weaving. It comes in 100g skeins that have 262 yards of yarn.
Portuguese Knitting by Rosa Pomar
This is a really cool book that is part knitting history part instructional. There are rare photos of historical pieces of Portuguese woodcraft, there are pattern instructions for recreating historical pieces. It has a little bit of everything.
World of Wool Artisan Felting Kit - Benji The Border Collie
We're honestly blown away with each new felting kit that World of Wool Makes. This Benji The Border Collie kit is no exception. The pose of the dog is so spot on, the fur texture is so detailed, and the little rope bone is too cute. These kits come with everything you need to make a little mini dog that will guard your desk with adorable loyalty.
