The Addi Company was started in 1829 as the Selter company mainly making steel crochet hooks. In 1950, the company’s name was changed to Addi after the first Addi catalog was a success. The name idea came from the 5th generation of the Selter Family, Gustav and his wife Hella Selter. During the 1960’s and 70’s, Addi started to make other crafting tools such as knitting needle and circular knitting needles. 

The Addi company makes knitting needles, crochet hooks, and books and accessories.
