These Schacht End Feed Shuttles are the ultimate in shuttles, designed especially and precisely for handweavers. They are lightweight, comfortable to throw and catch, adjustable to a variety of yarns, and easy—really easy—to thread. Available in 12″ and 15″ sizes.

End Feed Shuttles have pirns (sold separately) instead of bobbins. The weft yarn is unwound from the tip of the pirn when the shuttle is in motion and stops unwinding when the shuttle stops.

The fixed bobbin and tensioner in these end-delivery shuttles allow you to weave faster and produce straighter, cleaner selvedges.

Resist the temptation to handle the weft yarn at all. Simply adjust the tension with the enclosed Allen wrench to suit the yarn you are using and allow your shuttle to do the work!

The 12" shuttle takes a 6" pirn.

The 15" shuttle takes an 8" pirn.

Love these shuttles. They are

"Love these shuttles. They are smooth and glide easily. The weight is perfect for me. I am still waiting for two more to come."

Disappointed in my new Schacht

"Disappointed in my new Schacht shuttle. The pirns are extremely hard to remove from the shaft and the shaft doesn't stay level. When I tighten it too much it rises too high and when in the correct position it loosens and droops catching threads. I have two others that I've used for years with no problems."

I really enjoy using these

"I really enjoy using these shuttles to help with keeping my selvedges looking tidy! These are a nice size and easy to adjust and use. If Schacht ever made a slightly shorter version, I'd love that even more!"

I'd been fighting draw-in with

"I'd been fighting draw-in with my selvedges using the basic Schacht shuttles. The selvedges were even, but severely drawn in and I didn't want the hassle of using a Temple. I bought a used 15"" EFS, but it had bad springs which Schacht sent replacements for (huge props to Schacht Cust Serv). And WOW! it's a literal night and day difference. I liked it so much, I bought two more from the Woolery. They are now my go-to when controlling draw-in on wider projects is important. The length and weight are perfect for longer throwing widths. Pricey, but well worth it!"

The perfect shuttle

"Where has this been? All my life! Beautiful shuttle, Superior weaving tool. Of course, now I have to spring for a pirn winder lol"

Diana R. (5/5)

Great Shuttle!

"I like this shuttle - it really is easy to throw and catch and SO easy to change colors out, with pirns wound in different colors! Currently using it to weave towels and it's great. I got the smaller one but will also get the bigger one. Recommended."

Jacquee G. (5/5)

I'm having a little bit

"I'm having a little bit of trouble with this shuttle. I wish it was a little more closed on the bottom like the discontinued Blusterbay version. When I throw from the left, the fingers of my right hand touch the bobbin and the yarn catches instead of spooling off evenly. Throwing from the right is no problem because the fat end of the bobbin is on that side. The shuttle is nicely made, nice and light well finished, like all Schacht products."

Ultimate shuttle for thin weft

"Absolutely love my new shuttle! It’s true, end feed shuttles really do speed up the process and make even selvedges easier to achieve! I ordered the 15” model so that I could load more weft onto the pirn, and have fewer ends to weave in during finishing."

Great Shuttle

"These end feed shuttles are fabulous. They are sleek and smooth and slide through the shed with a nice even pull on the yarn. They are not too heavy so your hands don't get tired. Great shuttle - highly recommend."

This has been a fun

"This has been a fun learning experience for me using an end feed shuttle and winding pirns. And the customer service at the Woolery has always made me feel I can turn to them if I get stuck. And what can I say, I'm a schacht kind of weaver."
