Now available in a 8 shaft configuration that can expand to 16 shafts (conversion kit purchase required).
Designed by a weaver for weavers, this table loom offers exceptional features and performance to make any weaving project a snap. This loom is truly lightweight and portable. Jane folds down to a height of only 14cm (5") for ease of transport or storage.
Jane has been designed after consultation with weavers, while using successful techniques from its predecessor, the Kombo. There is no cord wear, since cords run over rollers and the overhead beater stays out of the way when throwing the shuttle. Jane is made of lacquered beech and has a built-in raddle.
What's the difference between the original Jane and Jane Expandable?
The difference between the looms is that the sides are longer, making the expandable 8 shaft Jane loom deeper to accommodate the extra shafts. When purchasing this variation, you only receive the parts to install the 8 shafts in the front position. The expansion kit provides the extra shafts and parts to accomodate 16 toggles and the back shelf.
The main reason to choose the expandable Jane is that it will have the added value of being able to expand to 16 shafts. This will make the loom more valuable at re-sale, if/when you would choose to sell your Jane.
