Raddles help facilitate the proper spacing of your warp on the loom. Raddles of one manufacturer can be used on other looms. Most are attached to the back beam with C-clamps.
The Leclerc raddles fit on the beater as well as the back beam and have 2 dents per inch (1/2" spacing).

"This is a very nice quality raddle. I have one caveat: on my loom, it only works if the raddle goes in the beater bar, not on the back beam or castle. I didn't realize this before I bought it, as the picture didn't show a side view. The base is too narrow to sit flat. Otherwise, it's well made, and the nails are smooth and haven't caught on my warp thus far."

"I’ve already used my raffle to dress my loom back to front twice. I love it. I attach it to the top of my harnesses with quick clamps. It makes it so much easier to dress the loom by myself. I had no twisted threads, no errors. I should have bought it sooner."
