The Glimakra Band Loom is a traditional style of Scandinavian loom for making ribbons, decorative bands and belts. Today you can use it to weave these and other narrow woven items like scarves and runners.
You can weave up to 5 inches wide. The band loom has two treadles, leaving your hands free for easy weaving.
The band loom can also be used for tablet weaving.

"The looks great after being assembled. When I received the loom and started to assemble it I noticed that the glue pegs were missing. I contacted the Woolery, they contacted Glimakra and eventually the pegs were sent. I started to assemble the loom again and found that the provided Allen wrench for the bolts did not fit so I got my metric wrenches and found the correct size and then assembled the loom."

"I have owned other band/inkle looms and use them for many purposes, but this one is really fun to weave on! I love having the foot treadles that keep my hands able to weave faster, which makes finishing bands faster in general. I also love the length of warp that you can put on this loom. Still getting the hang of sitting sideways to the weaving a bit, but there are some great videos out there showing people who use them and so I am confident that it will get easier."
