Lovely to spin as a newbie
"This was only my second time spinning (after trying out 50g of merino) and I love it! I was able to spin some very fine yarn on a drop spindle and found it lovely to work with."

One of the softest of the mountain breeds, this Conservation Breed originates from the Pennines Mountains in Northern England. The Whiteface Woodland lives up to its name with a wonderfully white wool, similar to the Swaledale breed. Ideal for everyday items (socks, blankets, rugs) as well as outdoor gear - mittens, sweaters, etc. This wool will also felt very nicely.

"I tend to spin very fine wool and this wool spun slightly thicker, then lace weight I usually spin. I spun on a drop spindle so perhaps I could draw out to spin finer on my wheel. Regardless this top is very nice. It is a beautiful creamy white. I may use this in conjunction with other wool to knit a shawl. It would dye well and yes, be a beautiful shawl. Good choice."
"Lovely to spin. Absolutely enjoyed it!"
"I am spinning this on a drop spindle. The fibre is very long and strong and spins easily. I am used to spinning with the much shorter fibre of alpaca and dog ."
"I can't wait to spin this beautiful fibre!"
