The loom is made of quality Baltic Birch plywood, finished beautifully with two coats of traditional clear Shellac, sealed with satin polyurethane. The hexagon weaving area measures about 4” side-to-side, and each of the six hexagon sides measures a little over 2”.

"I got the turtle loom just a week after purchasing the zoom loom, and I’ve become addicted to pin weaving. I’m a quilter, so have now started collecting a pile of woven hexagons to use to construct a “grandmother’s flower garden” afghan using the traditional patchwork design, but in woven wool.
