"This is helpful to measure the size of my double-pointed-needles and then to possibly use the size of needle that is recommended for a given yarn. It is metal (aluminum?), sturdy, and lightweight. It has a ruler in both inch and centimeter to count stitches and rows per unit length given a knitted guage swatch. Its weight is 1/2 ounce and its size is 5-1/2 x 3 x about 1/32 inch. It also identifies the size of crochet hooks."
