The Schacht Standard Floor Loom Trap adds convenient storage to your Standard Floor Loom. The sturdy nylon cloth "pocket" holds your shuttles and tools—even sharp scissors—right at the front of your loom.
Clamp the trap to the front legs of your loom when you're ready to weave, and remove it for warping.
Made of maple, it is available in two sizes to fit all 36" and 45" Schacht Standard Floor looms.
Assembly is simple. You'll just need a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a helper or a small table to support the cloth sleeve.

"I still have been unable to get my trap attached, but I have used these in a weaving class and found them to be useful. . . like, not dropping my second color's shuttle, lol!"
"Who doesn’t love a well-made product that was made locally? The people at Schacht have once again provided an exceptional way to store your weaving equipment right at hand. It was easy to install."
"Since I am working on a large overshot project the trap is very useful for holding my ""off"" shuttle. Much better than trying to balance it on the front beam and occasionally needing to retrieve the shuttle from the floor! Two things which caused the 4 star review - It is quite difficult to screw the long rods in during construction and it is easy to bang the ends of the clamps with the beater bar if you aren't careful, especially when using a temple."
"This includes the cheapest, flimsiest piece of nylon cloth for the trap hammock - disappointing. Cannot get the screws to go into the cross sticks - without pre-drilled holes, not sure how it would ever work. Poor design - as another reviewer said, the attachment pokes out to stop the beater, removing ~1"" of weaving space. Not sure I can return it now, as I had to try to screw in the cross sticks in order to realize I couldn't do it."
"The trap is made of nice materials and it's helpful to have a handy place to put things. But the trap makes it hard see the treadles and you have to remove the trap to access the heddles. The biggest issue is that the beater will hit the trap mounting clamp if the cloth is rolled all the way forward. You can roll the cloth only part way but that makes the weaving area too small."
"The Trap is very useful once it is assembled. However, the assembly process was much more difficult than necessary. The wood screws that go into the long sticks were way too hard to do. I had to drill them out to make them bigger. Furthermore, the instructions were pretty vague about positioning the trap."
"With more than one shuttle, I needed a trap. You had one at the right price! Love It!"
