Made to hold medium to heavy yarns, these ski shuttles are designed so that the yarn is wrapped horizontally around the top of the ski.
This leaves a smooth bottom for sliding smoothly across the warp.

"This shuttle just flies through my wider projects on my floor loom. It’s so much easier to skate this shuttle across then having the edges catch with a stick shuttle. The open shed is a bit for my table loom, but this shuttle is GREAT for my nice wide open shed on my floor loom. Looking to get another for alternation colors in my next project."
