Slightly Miffed

"The spools are functional but they appear to be used, not new. The spools I received had nicks and dents in them. I washed them before use because they were dirty, some with what looked like coffee spills. I don't mind purchasing used products. But if you are selling something used, it should be noted as such in the description. Unless noted otherwise the buyer assumes the product is new, which these were not."

These were much smaller than

"These were much smaller than expected. I thought they were 4 oz spools but only 2 oz fit. That has advantages so I like them. I wound them with a drill and tapered attachment and it worked fine."

Plastic spools for rewinding

"To even out the twist of wheel-spun singles, I rewind onto these bobbins , then ply off of them. Having more bobbins means I can combine different wools and ply them into more interesting skeins. The more bobbins the better. I now have 12 bobbins! Yay! These are less expensive than the ones I bought before and though the inner diameter is slightly larger, they still work on the Swedish crank winder I use. These spools hold about half a full skein of spun singles. This process is recommended by Judith McKenzie and it works well for me."
