Polwarth fiber is a fine wool breed. After crossbreeding Merino and Lincoln sheep a new breed was established in 1880 in Australia. The new breed was called Polwarth and is 3/4 Merino and 1/4 Lincoln.
Polwarth sheep produce a very fine wool suitable for baby items.
This wool is elastic, resilient, lofty and drapes well.

"Lovely fiber. Spins like butter."
"I’ve been spinning it into a fine yarn that will probably be a lace shawl, and I think I’ll order more :)"
"This is by far my favorite top of everything I have tried from the Woolery which includes the conservation breed combos. It is super easy to spin, the fibers being long, and I can get lost spinning for longer than I intended. But what I really love about it is how it doesn’t lose any of its softness when you knit it. I like it better than merino as it is not as fine and my default spinning weight ends up being about a dk size. It is now my requested gift for birthdays, Mother’s Day and Christmas."
"Spinning now and it’s lovely"
"A pleasure to spin."
"Just discovered Polwarth fiber. It spins like a dream."
"Perfect, softest wool top. Spins like a dream. Fluffs to twice the spun size. 400g. will make a large adult sweater. Thank you Woolery"
"Very nice polwarth combed top. Takes color very well. Would buy again!"
"Felts beautifully"
"The Polwarth Top I got from you is lovely and spinning it is like spinning a cloud. My time with my spindle and the top is a treat!"
