This is high quality, European hemp fiber sourced directly from a farming co-op.
Hand spinners will love this fiber. It contains no coarse fibers and has a beautiful soft luster.
Spinners can add hemp to their wool batts for the texture it provides. It also makes a nice core fiber. When you spin a singles of hemp, it turns into hemp cord (you see at the craft stores).
Hemp Sliver can also be used for other crafts. Teasing the fibers apart to use them in paper making, small amounts can be worked into nuno felt and in general, it can be a handy embellishment for scrapbooks and other handicrafts.

"I just finished some handspun blending hemp with alpaca and then plying with Teeswater. Very easy to blend with my hand carders and gave nice stability to the alpaca while spinning. The hand is nice and soft after washing. About 20% - 25% hemp in finished yarn. Time to make some hats."
"I love this fiber for use in my paper-making class."

"Having just purchased a mini glider Turkish spindle made by Snyder I decided to use the hemp on it. I now have several nice small balls of this very easy to work with hemp and several that hat have been plied. I’ll be working with the hemp next on a walking wheel."
