Mirasol Llama Umi is a sport-weight yarn made from 100% baby llama fiber in undyed, natural colors. Each 100g skein holds 328 yards (300m) and knits at 23–26 stitches per 4" on US 3–5 needles, making it a lightweight, warm choice for shawls, sweaters, cowls, and other next-to-skin projects.
The name Umi comes from a Quechua phrase meaning “llama kiss,” and the yarn lives up to it. Baby llama fiber is prized for its silky softness and warmth without heaviness, and Llama Umi knits into a light, airy fabric with a gentle halo that softens further with wear.
