Originated in Australia, the Comeback was developed by selective cross breeding Merino with select British long wool breeds and then breeding that cross back with the Merino.  It takes dye beautifully and can be spun anywhere from thick and lofty to extremely fine.

This wool has not been carbonized, so it may contain small amounts of VM.

Not just any ol’ Merino

"This fiber is not like anything I have ever spun, and I am SO glad I did not automatically steam it before trying it out. The fibers are “grabby” and soft, with very little sliding, right out of the bag. I pulled it through a button and easily separated out most vm and short cuts. And the color…beautiful, like coffee. So, if you see “Merino” and think silky, it’s much more fuzzy and unique than that. Plus, it seems to work really well on a drop spindle or a wheel with little fuss."
