Designed from the ground up, the Aura has new style and presence while still retaining the classic Majacraft look. It has two independent drive bands, one for the flyer and a second for the bobbin. The flyer drive has three different ratios and the bobbin drive has two ratios plus infinite adjustment. Being so unique, the Aura requires new thinking about spinning and expressing your creativity.
The hybrid flyer is all new and builds on the advances Majacraft has made in the past. It shares the aerodynamic shape of our other flyers for efficient and easy spinning. Most importantly it has a new dual function orifice. Fine yarns can be held still in the delta part of the orifice. This also has the function of holding coil yarns very still so you can observe your work. You can bypass the delta and use the large halo ring for spinning huge. With the new double drive, the Aura can spin anything that can be pulled through this orifice!
The new folding handle design has the grip in a new location and special bumpers on the handle to keep the spinning head away from the pedals when you fold it down.
This wheel is a collaboration between Majacraft and the very accomplished spinner Pluckyfluff.
The Aura will fit all existing Majacraft flyers. It fits all wood bobbins produced after April 2010.

"Love this wheel! It's my first time with a double drive. The minimal assembly and setup was very straightforward. I actually read the instructions, set the tension as per recommendation, and immediately started spinning consistent lace weight Merino. Majacraft designs and manufactures beautiful products, and as usual The Woolery was wonderful to work with. "This is my very first wheel. As is recommended by so many, I tried out a variety of wheels before making a decision. Honestly, I wondered if I would ever be a spinner as none of them ever felt natural to me. When I sat down at my friends Aura though, it was like I had been spinning forever and it felt completely natural to me! I knew I had found my wheel!! I ordered that week. Honestly, I was a little nervous about ordering something all the way from New Zealand, but the folks at Woolery were amazing at communicating with me during every step of the process, and it arrived quickly. It was packaged with great care and in perfect shape. My husband and I put it together and I was spinning that day. "Don't be afraid of this wheel! It can do it all! I've spun bulky, worsted, fingering and lace yarns on this! Even long draw! I highly advise you get the lace or baby bobbin kit to go with it if you are planning to spin fine yarns or long draw! The traditional orifice is a huge help for those!"

"I purchased this wheel because I like both the fine-tunability of double drive and the easy adjustment of Scotch tension. I was intrigued by how Majacraft had arrived at what seemed like a hybrid between the two and hoped it would capture the things I like best about them. This wheel does not disappoint. Assembly is straightforward (the wheel includes an assembly guide with detailed photographs), and I was spinning what I consider my ""default"" single (a moderate-twist fine single that makes about a light fingering when 2-plied and a sport/DK when 3-plied) with very minimal adjustments past the wheel's ""middle"" settings. The strength with which the single is drawn in can be controlled with the break band, the head height, and the way the single is wrapped around the delta, so you can hit the sweet spot for the single you're spinning very easily, particularly once you learn the effects of each adjustment. This wheel is marketed especially towards art yarn spinners, but I can easily see the wheel spinning pretty much whatever I want to spin. The minimal maintenance required because of the brilliantly designed construction is a bonus. Thanks Majacraft and The Woolery!"
