Your affordable and versatile spin buddy with a wide treadle. Spin thick, thin or art yarn effortlessly.
Dutch tension is Irish tension improved by Jan Louët: the spinning wheel is bobbin-led, but the aerodynamic design of the flyer allows you to spin with very little pull on the yarn. As a result, Dutch tension is great for spinning both thin and thick yarns.
Lojan BV was founded in 2023 by Jan Louët and his daughter, Loes van Aken.

"Purchased this wheel as my first foray into spinning and it did not disappoint! It is solid, works well, and is portable enough to take to events, vacations, or just about anywhere else you want to spin! The built in lazy Kate is very useful and the Irish tension is a breeze to adjust. The bobbins have multiple whorl ratios and the versatility of this wheel is surprising for the price. The only issue I have encountered is that the guides do not slide easily, but otherwise they work. This was a good purchase for the price!"

"This is my first spinning wheel. Spinning wheel assembly was straightforward and went quickly. Used clear shellac as the wood finish. My first attempt at spinning on this wheel was a little challenging. I did everything according to the instructions. However, the spun fiber would not takeup onto the bobbin. I ended up calling the Wooley. They suggested to shorten the green elastic band that attaches to the eye hook on the post and to the tension string controlled by the tension knob. Success. I now have spun my first bobbin of thick/thin yarn to use as weft yarn in decorative weaving projects. Always great service from the Woolery team."
