Produced by the Angora goat, mohair fiber is similar to silk in terms of luster and sheen. Mohair has excellent insulating properties and takes dye exceptionally well.
In addition, mohair is naturally elastic and resists creasing.
Mohair grows in uniform locks and unlike cashmere or pygora, is a single coat goat breed. That means that is no need to “de-hair” mohair.
This natural light grey fiber is ideal for both blending and over dyeing.

"I like this mohair top because it adds texture to the other fiber I am spinning. I blended both fibers on a blending board with a diz and am spinning it on an e-spinner. It is producing a lovely yarn."
"I haven't used my mohair top yet as I plan on doing a spinning demo this fall. i am sure people will enjoy touching the fiber and also enjoy watching the spinning demo."
