9/10 Highly recommend

"This is exactly what I needed. A Lazy Kate with tension makes a world of difference in plying. The only thing I would change is the fact that the knob that controls the tension is too close to the post to ply more than two bobbins at a time. However, it is possible to shift the location of the knob to the underside of the device to get it out of the way; that just means I have to set the whole thing on an elevated surface instead of directly on the floor."

OK for the price. Look further.

"As a new spinner I thought this was a great, less expensive option. It will only accommodate 2 of my large bobbins. Part of the tensioning system blocks the third bobbin. The tensioning string frayed and broke before I finished my first project."

Perfect!

"I was so tired of plying with my normal lazy Kate, which let off too much yarn and then it would get all twisted. This one is perfect! I can set the tension so that it lets off just enough yarn, without being too lose or too tense. The tension knob was a little tight when I first got it (as in, I couldn’t get it to move!), but it loosened up once I finally managed to get it unstuck."

The Lendrum Lazy Kate is

"The Lendrum Lazy Kate is a great combination of sturdiness and simplicity."

Just what I needed

"This Lazy Kate does the trick. It has a small footprint, but can hold and tension 3 jumbo bobbins at once. It has enough weight to stay in place (across the room when necessary), and it is more affordable than other brands—some at almost twice the price. It is well made. The only change I would make would be to switch out the elastic with a small spring on the end of the tensioning string. I highly recommend."

Exactly what I wanted

"Very reasonably priced compared to other Lazy Kates and it performs beautifully. It has very good tension, easily set the knob to your preference and basically forget it, it won't slip. My last spinning project was fine, high-twist yarn and plying without a tensioned Kate was an exercise in frustration and loss of a lot of yardage due to tangles. This fixed that issue and didn't cost me a fortune. It's actually very nice looking and well-finished."
