Just the image you would expect a spinning wheel to take. You can picture the "ladies in waiting" gathered together in the castle spinning as a group, all on a Symphony. This is a very popular wheel for a moderate price and is sure to be a conversation piece in your home! This wheel has the details spinners have come to expect with Kromski products - lots of finely turned wood, attention to detail, and all the features spinners ask for. Start with a good size wheel that rotates on bearing sleeves that contribute to effortless treadling. The double treadles are well engineered to be comfortable through long spinning sessions.

The flyer is double drive but also has Scotch tension for single drive use (and no additional charge). The bobbins hold a full 4 oz. package of yarn and they fit on all the other Kromski wheels if you start a collection. The Symphony is made with European alder and birch and with its antique look makes the perfect wheel for re-enactors.

"Almost 10 years ago I bought my first and only wheel: a Symphony from The Woolery. (After a few years learning on drop spindles. ) The wheel still works perfectly. It's gorgeous in a room. Maintenance is easy. I've replaced the drive band 3 times using DIY from the Alton Amos book. All other parts work on and on. If I were to attend classes and fairs, I'd want a travel wheel as well; the Symphony is transportable in the back of my SUV when partially dismantled. Time-consuming to do that. It's easy, though, to move it around the house. The precision of all its spin physics amaze me, the longer I grow as a spinner."
