Kromski Polonaise - beautiful in every way!
"I was drawn to the Kromski spinning wheels by the beauty of their design and craftsmanship. As a new spinner I also wanted something that was functional with good support for any questions or issues. This wheel has fully fulfilled my requirements and more. It is very quiet - to the point where if I hear any noise from it I stop and check to see if something is wrong. When it arrived, I found one issue as I was unpacking. Two of the three bobbins were cracked. An e-mail to the manufacturer with a picture of the issue received immediate response and replacement bobbins were received within a couple of days. The spinning wheel was very easy to put together and I was started on learning to spin within a very short time. One of the reasons I chose this wheel was its flexibility. It has features that might only be used by an advanced spinner, but it also has features that support the beginning spinner. For me, that was the Scotch tension option. I struggled at first with adjusting the tension on the double drive. Finally I switched to the Scotch tension and started making good progress. After my cat decided he liked the taste of hemp and chewed up part of the drive band, I purchased the poly cord drive band accessory. I decided to set it up first as double drive and was pleased to find that I was able to adjust the tension easily. I’m not certain if that was a result of the different type of band or because I had gained enough experience to know what I was doing. I am very satisfied with this wheel and use it almost every day. I also still smile at its beauty every time I look at it!"
