This beautiful, compact, portable wheel features a wide, steady base for the double treadle operation and the wheel, which is larger than many upright wheels. The wheel is easy to mount on the two support posts. The third post accommodates an optional distaff.
One of our most popular castle-type wheels. Larger than the Kromski Mazurka, the Minstrel has stronger, bolder lines and a larger base to accommodate the larger wheel diameter and the double treadles. It is a double drive wheel but comes standard with Scotch tension set-up for those that prefer the single drive feel
The Minstrel is made of European alder and birch and with its antique look makes the perfect wheel for re-enactors.

"I love my wheel! After extensive research, I decided to choose the Kromski Minstrel because of its beauty and versatility. The wheel can support a wide range of ratios, and supports both single drive and double drive (this was really important to me!) I love the position and angle of the treadles, and find these treadles more comfortable and responsive than other wheels I've tried. A great feature of this wheel is that since you put it together - you understand how it works! Since the pieces are wood, leather, etc this seems to be a wheel that will be easy to self-maintain. And thank you to the Woolery for the spin kit with niddy noddy and practice roving!! It's everything I needed to start my spinning journey."

"This is my second wheel, I also have the symphony by Kromski. They are wonderfully made and I feel as if I'm using my forefathers machine. They have smooth action and are whisper quiet I can spin at any place at anytime. I wish I had started earlier in my spinning career. It is a very comforting and soothing hobby. I also received very well packaged and fast shipping. If your new to spinning, take it from a newbie, it is money well spent, it gives you as much as you give it. "I ordered a Minstrel at the end of October to take advantage of the Kromski promotion. I ordered it on 10/30/2017 and it was delivered 11/3/2017!! My husband & I assembled the wheel, not sure how long it took, but not long. I am 5'7' and I am very happy with the height of the orifice, it is taller, and double drive just works! I bought the Minstrel based on research, (I did not access to a one) and felt comfortable buying without trying since I already own a Sonata. I am very happy with the wheel! The Minstrel spins beautifully!"
