Fun spinning with portable kick spindle
"This kick spindle is exactly what I had hoped for. The Facebook algorithm put it right in my feed and as soon as I saw it, I went to purchase since the price was much lower than other kick spindles I had seen. It is very basic and what you see in the picture is what you get, no case, no cover or other parts, but it's all you need. It spins very long, quietly and the spindle staff is straight with no wobbles. There are rubber feet on each corner to help it stay firmly on the floor but I sometimes put my toe on the front of it just in case it wants to move a bit. I'm new to kick spindles and had to learn by trial and error since I couldn't find many tutorials on youtube to help. I was able to get the hang of it after only a couple skeins and now I have the technique down. The yarn is coming out very lofty which is exactly what I am trying for. Very satisfied with this purchase !"

"I have owned and used many kick spindles, including one that was considerably more expensive than this. It is compact, solid, very smooth. The wood is so beautiful, and I love that it was crafted in Kentucky. The part you kick works very well with the notches cut out in it. You can wear shoes, socks or barefoot and it works equally well with right or left foot. I love using it to spin art yarn, it pops right into a little straw tote purse. Highly recommended by this long time spinner and one who appreciates unusual and well made spinning tools."
Fun Little Spindle
"I have never used one of these before and wanted to try it. There aren't many people who make kick spindles and I chose this one because it looked like the best value of the few I could find. This little spindle is very well made and beautiful. I'm finding it fun to use and it's nice to have something that uses different muscles than my wheels or spindles. I don't like to use hooks, so I easily removed it. My only suggestions would be to make the spindle a few inches longer and include some assembly directions as well as how to use it. My husband figured out how to assemble it much quicker than I would have. I am very happy with it."

"It’s well made, spins nicely on its bearings. It is quite heavy; portable but you’ll know you’re hauling it around with you. I thought to use it for travel, but that won’t work for me. There isn’t much instruction out there on how to use a kick spindle; I found it awkward to use, probably doing it wrong. Glad I tried the experiment."
