The Oxberg Classic shuttle is especially designed for rigid heddle weaving. 15 inches makes it easy to pass through the open shed of rigid heddle looms. It is made of solid maple in the USA and will hold long (6 inch) quills so that the shuttle will hold a lot of weft. Easier and faster than a flat stick shuttle. These shuttles are equally useful for weavers using table looms or floor looms for the same reasons

My favorite shuttle!
"A perennial favorite! 6” quills hold more yarn than any other boat shuttle I own. Quills are so much quieter than bobbins. These have the smoothest finish out of any of my shuttles. Made here in the USA! And the slim profile fits through the tiniest sheds on my floor loom and even my rigid heddle looms."

"I bought two of these shuttles to use with my 16"" Rigid Heddle loom and my 24"" 8 harness Table loom. These shuttles are perfection!! Light in weight, beautifully finished and so easy to pass through to the opposite hand while weaving. The 6"" long quills hold a lot of weaving yarn. I highly recommend these shuttles."

"I love this shuttle! I have nearly 50 shuttles, so I'm not easily impressed with a new shuttle design, but this one is just lovely. The weight is enough to get it across the widest warp I had on a loom the day it arrived (about 40""), but feels light in the hand, no wrist fatigue. The finish is silky smooth. The taper at the ends is just right, no snagging of warp threads. Although I don't really need a low-profile shuttle, this one is low enough to be really helpful if you have a small shed. All in all, unless you must have a shuttle that uses bobbins, this one is perfect. The first thing I did after trying it out the day it arrived, was to put a second one in my Woolery cart!"
