Down Under Scarf Weaving Kit

We recently started carrying a new line of yarn made by our friends at Circulo: a lusciously squishable Superwash Merino yarn called Aussie, which comes in a wide variety of knockout colorways that we just couldn't wait to weave!

Aussie is dyed in randomized speckles, which allows for each ball to be completely unique. These colorways very conveniently overlap with another of Circulo’s newer yarn lines: a merino, mohair, and silk blend called Bohemia. As soft as this combination is, we figured we’d go big or go home and threw in the luxurious Cumulus yarn made by Fyberspates, an alpaca and silk blend that feels just like a cloud!

Using these yarns together, we have designed a simple,  yet visually striking rigid heddle scarf that would make a wonderful gift to yourself or your loved ones.

Kit Includes:

• 1 ball Circulo Aussie
• 1 ball Circulo Bohemia
• 1 ball Fyberspates Cumulus

Equipment Needed:

• Rigid heddle loom (at least 10" weaving width)
• 8 dent rigid heddle
• Stick shuttle

Specifications:

• 9.5" width in reed/heddle
• 8 EPI
• 6 - 7 PPI (this is a slightly off-balance weave structure, with slightly more ends per inch than there are picks per inch. You likely will not run out of yarn if your picks per inch are closer to 8-10, but you will obscure more of the warp, obstructing the view of the unique dye job.)
• 1 scarf: 8.5" W x 80" L after washing
