This is premium grade, fine and very soft, natural Corriedale wool from New Zealand. This reliable multipurpose wool is a pleasure to spin, knit, crochet, weave or felt. Durable with significant loft and a distinctive crimp, Corriedale is an ideal choice for sweaters, socks, blankets and other household textiles.
Developed in New Zealand by James Little at the Corriedale Ranch crossing Merino, Lincoln and most likely Leicesters in the 1880s.

"I first spun the Corriedale Natural Stripe Top, and knew I wanted to try spinning up the White to dye at a later date, or even use it in its natural cream white. I find Corriedale to be softer than Hill Radnor and Cheviot, but not as soft and lofty as Stricken Lonk. It's a great go-to fiber, especially for beginners! I have only been spinning less than 5 months at the time of writing this review. I always split and pre-draft all my fiber before spinning on a drop spindle. This 250g bag spun up into 250 yards of DK/Sport single ply. It's such a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend for beginners!"
