Features:
- Heavy enough to spin a medium to very fine yarn
- Each is tested for smooth balanced spinning
- The spindles weigh between 1 ounce up to 1.25 oz.
- The stone whorl is 1.75"- 2" in diameter
- The shaft is made from turned wood that has been stained and sealed( dark shaft) or Bamboo that has been stained and sealed ( light wood).

"I’m a beginner, and this spindle is smaller than what I’m used to, but the weight of the stone and feel of the wood are lovely. I did put a little notch in the edge of the stone (with a metal fingernail file) so the yarn wouldn’t slip as much. The balance is even, and the stone is beautiful."

Beautiful but not the easiest to use
"It’s a gorgeous piece of art! And it can spin beautifully but it’s a bit tricky due to slippery shaft and whorl both. Not having a notch adds to the challenge. This spindle is only one in my collection that the cop has a tendency to slide on. Don’t recommend for a raw beginner but it does make a lovely addition for someone who has a bit of experience."
