A pick up stick is typically used with a rigid heddle loom. The stick slides behind the rigid heddle across the warp threads in order to change the position (up or down) of various warp threads depending on the desired weaving effect.

"Great products!"
"Absolutely love my pick up sticks. Finish is smooth and doesn't snag fiber. Love these"
"Satisfied with the pick up sticks purchase, order is always well packaged!"
"It is of good quality, works well without snagging the fiber and I am pleased with my purchase. The Woolery is great with packaging, delivery, and products available as well as communication if you need to contact them."
"The wood pick-up stick is what I was looking for, and looks great. However, the first time I tried to insert it in a shed, I felt the beveled tip catch on the yarn. I will need to sand it a bit before I try using it again. I'm sure it will be fine afterwards, but I was disappointed that it wasn't smoother when I got it."
"Very nice for the price. Packaged arrived on time and we’ll packed. Pleased with service from The Woolery and will shop them again."
"I've used Beka pick up sticks since the 1970's. They're strong, feel good in my hand, and are VERY smooth, so are easy to use. The only reason I had to buy new ones is because I gave a few away to beginning weavers last year!"
"They are a little rough, I needed to sand them a bit so they would slide more easily. Otherwise, exactly what I wanted and ordered."
"Good quality pick-up stick. It had enough grip to stand on its edge well and didn't fall down."
