This 4 or 10 inch rigid heddle loom package comes pre-warped, ready to weave. Perfect for children, beginners of any age or anyone wanting to weave bands, belts or samples. Shuttle included.
The 4 inch loom comes with one 8-dent heddle; the 10 inch has 2 heddles: a 4 inch 8-dent and a 10" 10-dent.
Good companions for this loom are the book "Hands on Rigid Heddle Weaving", the DVD, "Rigid Heddle Weaving", the Schacht or Leclerc Warping Pegs and a tube or two of Maysville cotton warp.
Please note that in normal use, you may find it difficult to do direct-warping on a Beka loom, as the heddle blocks do not have a neutral position to hold the heddle in place for you while you thread it.

"Really enjoying the beak beginner loom, it comes pearled with some weft started already and it is inexpensive and super portable. If you want to learn how to weave but don’t want to spend a lot of $$$ this is a fun little project to play around with. I have it with me in my big rig."
"I got this to use to weave pick up bands with a double slotted heddle, and learn different weaving techniques w/out setting up the larger loom, which is still in the box. It works great for pick up weaving, is easily portable and a comfortable size to work with. I have the 10"" loom which should be a good width for scarves and narrow table runners. It's well made and smooth, but you will have to apply you own finish to the wood. All in all, I'm happy with it."
"I got this for belt and tablet bands and it is an easy to understand and portable loom for setting up small projects. My only criticism is that I wish there were some way to fasten down the part that stores the unused warp at the top of the loom, perhaps with a similar screw-like mechanism as at the bottom. Until there is adequate tension on the warp, it has a tendency to fall off, making it a little clumsy to set up initially. Otherwise, a nice little device."
