Beginner Rug Hooking Kit - Sheep with Stars

Designed by Sharon Perry, this beginner rug hooking kit is a great for gifts or a great way to get introduced to rug hooking. The kit come with backing, pattern, and pre-cut wool, coordinating binding yarn and rug hook. 

The finished rug would make a great wall hanging, trivet, table centerpiece, candle or teapot mat when completed. Lots of people hang these hand hooked mats from old cupboards or make little pillows out of them.

The sheep is hooked with oatmeal heather and outlined with dyed charcoal. The background is done with dyed blue and dyed golden.  

Please note, true to the primitive “make-do” roots of the rug-hooking craft, these kits are made of overdyed wool, and the colors will not always exactly match the photo.
