Beginner Rug Hooking Kit - Cardinal on Oats

Designed by Sharon Perry, this beginner rug hooking kit is a great for gifts or a great way to get introduced to rug hooking. The kit come with backing, pattern, and pre-cut wool, coordinating binding yarn and rug hook. 

The finished rug would make a great wall hanging, trivet, table centerpiece, candle or teapot mat when completed. Lots of people hang these hand hooked mats from old cupboards or make little pillows out of them.

The cardinal is hooked with two reds, mustard and brown and the background is done with and a mixed oats and cream wool. 

Please note, true to the primitive “make-do” roots of the rug-hooking craft, these kits are made of overdyed wool, and the colors will not always exactly match the photo.
