I have an Ashford top
"I have an Ashford top whorl spindle in 1. 25 oz (singles) and 1. 75 oz (plying). I'm able to maintain a long, fast spin for a continuous draw, and my spindle is very balanced. I'm very happy with my purchase!"

"0. 75oz spindle is great for spinning fingering weight yarn. These newest ones have a bit smaller notches than my old Ashford spindle but the spin is great. It took a bit of getting used to a lightweight spindle, I would suggest not starting with Icelandic wool, lol, the mixture of short and long fibers was challenging. While i love it for singles, I prefer plying on a heavier spindle."
"Awesome!"
"Well balanced. Spins smoothly."
"I originally ordered a different brand of large top whirl spindle for plying. It took months and never showed up. When I notified the woolery about the delay they very quickly responded with a solution. Love the spindle, works really well for plying larger quantities of yarn."
"Part of my order was delayed a few days but the communication was great! They kept me in the loop and still had the entire shipment to me before my class! Awesome service!!"
"Beautiful materials and attentive, prompt service!"
"My first spindles - easy to use, great weight, well made."
"I love the Ashford drop spindles! There are notches on two sides to help secure the ends of mt spinning. They have a bent hook which I find keeps the yarn more secure as it is being created. The whorl has a rim, so the inside is lighter than the outside. They come in many weights. And I find the price very reasonable."
