This fantastic new flyer gives you the freedom to spin your wild carder batts into fabulous, fun and funky art yarns on your Ashford Joy Spinning Wheel.
With the enormous 1 inch (25mm) orifice and hooks you can spin and ply fibers, feathers, fabric, ribbons, cocoons and more. The open hooks make threading super fast and easy.

"The flyer and bobbin are a perfect fit for my Ashford Joy. Just be aware, if you have an original Ashford Joy (not the Joy 2) you have to take your wheel apart to attach the flyer. I compensate for this by spinning up several singles, switch out my flyer, then doing all my plying at once, then switch my flyer back to the smaller one. There are very clear instructions for changing the flyer which were easy to follow."

Great Flyer - Only One Caveat
"There are so many creative possibilities with this Flyer. I’m a new spinner and it’s easy to use. There in only one caveat, which is why I gave it 4 stars. If your Joy wheel was made prior to 2002, you will have to replace the Flyer shaft with the new shaft provided in the kit. The new shaft will work with both regular and jumbo flyers. However this replacement involves removing the back of the wheel and trying to pry off and later put back some tricky little E Clips. (Not fun - ask me how I know) This is not mentioned in the product description. If it had been, I might have had second thoughts. However, after doing the retrofitting, I am pleased with the results."
