Love the Size. . . .

"Love them. Using to Fluff a box of washed raw wool to stuff the Turkish couch cushions. Great Size!"

Would recommend!

"As others have commented, the carders come without pre-drilled holes, so the assembly takes a bit. But if you take the time and effort to pre-drill the holes and use some wood glue, they hold up incredibly well. They are pretty small, but hold a lot of fibre. Ideal for carding cotton."

Ashford fine hand cards

"I bought the Ashford fine cotton hand cards because I grew my own colored cotton this year. The cotton was a great success & I knew I would need a way to prepare my cotton for spinning. I have a pair of Ashford wool hand cards but these new cotton cards are for much finer fiber like the cotton I grew. The cards are perfect! They are quite large but I have found that the size works well for carding more fiber at once. The cards came ‘unfinished’ so I may still use linseed oil or another fine wood oil to protect & finish the wood. It is wonderful to have a ‘life-time’ tool that I will never have to replace! Thank you Woolery for a fine set of hand cards."

Top of the Line

"Instant success in carding cotton . . . Easy to assemble, comfortable to use, results are second-to-none, even for a beginner. It's Ashford at its best."

Definitive Cotton Carders

"These carders were improved with the input of Joan Ruane. They are great hand carders for cotton. They are a bit stiff at first, but break in with use."

JILL L. (5/5)

Good carders

"I have been using it to process the cotton I have been growing. These carders have been easy to use and made good rolags to spin with."

Dustin R. (5/5)

Excellent carders for very fine fleece

"I bought these carders for a very fine merino fleece. They work beautifully! Prepping the fiber with these carders made the spinning very fine and even."

Kathryn T. (5/5)

Great hand carders! Excellent size.

"I love these carders! I've haven't used them on cotton yet, but they work great on wool and shorter staple flax. If you don't have special storage for them, I adapted the box they came in with some strategic cutouts for the handles and still keep them there when not in use. This way the fur-babies won't get hurt accidentally."

Alice L. (5/5)

The carders arrived unassembled and

"The carders arrived unassembled and unfinished. Both assembling and finishing took little effort. The carders perform perfectly as intended. I would purchase these again if needed and recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality set of carders. As usual, my experience with Woolery has been exceptional."

Ashford cotton hand carders

"These carders are lightweight, easy to use, and make great cotton punis. I thought the length of the carder would make them awkward to use, but they are easier than my standard carders."
