Great plying spindle

"I got this spindle to have a heavier large volume spindle to use for plying and it’s perfect for this task! I can ply at least 4 oz at a time, and I love that the spindle can pack flat."

A sturdy, well built spindle

"A sturdy, well built spindle that works well for a number of different weights of fiber. I especially like it for plying as it is well balanced and holds quite a lot of yarn."

Breaking the spin barrier

"I consider myself an experienced knitter so I jumped into spinning without hesitating. Come to find out there are considerable details that must be accounted for which make all the difference in the resulting yarn. When I bought the drop spindle I chose Romney Rove to spin, not knowing that it must be commed before being spun. I got nowhere fast until I learned that I could come the Rove by my fingers as I spun. (Romney is an extremely long and scruffy fiber). In conclusion, I am very happy to break the spin barrier and learn so much about spinning with very little investment. Thanks to The Woolery!"
