Great addition to weaving equipment

"This was a handy addition to my weaving equipment. I have a rigid heddle loom and wasn't sure that a boat shuttle would work due to the construction of the loom. However, I've had no problems with the boat shuttle, and a bobbin winder is a must. I have several Ashford products, and I would say that the construction on this item is not quite up to their high standards (hence the four-star rating). I struggled to add the final ""button"" that holds the wheel to the rest of the winder. The button is now slightly askew, and the winder wobbles a little. It hasn't affected its functionality."

"I just tried the Ashford bobbin winder. I worked beautifully. I wasn’t very smooth in guiding the warp thread on, but the winder worked great. I filled three bobbins in a very short time. It is very well built."

Handy winder to use

"The winder works great. I keep it mounted for easy access. I use it often and works well with Ashford bobbins. Sometimes they don't go all the way onto the spindle, but turning the bobbin around allows it to go on further. Besides that, it really doesn't affect the ability to wind on."
