The large bobbin and orifice allow spinning chunky and novelty yarns or production spinning and plying. Very quick and easy to fit - just swap the maid upright bearing.
For SINGLE DRIVE Traditional and SINGLE DRIVE Traveller 2 wheels. WILL NOT fit on Traveller 3.

"I'm really happy with this purchase. I appreciate being able to ply my singles without having to use multiple Robbins. The one downside that I didn't realize is that I would need to drill into the maiden arm on my vintage 1982 Traditional. Luckily I only needed to replace the front bearing. The leather at the back still matches up and they work well together. I'm glad I bought a jar of Ashford's finishing wax for this. The color after waxing is lovely."
"So I was surprised this was unfinished. (Maybe I didn't read thoroughly? That's on me. ) That being said, it fits on my old Traditional perfectly and I can use my small bobbins with it (although she's a but louder with that setup) which saves a lot of fuss. So nice to spin a set of little bobbins and then just throw on a jumbo one and ply without a new setup!"

"SOOOOO pleased with this jumbo flyer assembly. With the exception of a little shaving I needed to do to the bearing to fit on my older wheel (easy with my little bit of spoon carving experience) this assembly was easy to attach and fit perfectly on my Ashford Traditional. I was so worried it would be too big, but it fits perfectly and my whole world of spinning and plying is opened up. I can fit so much yarn on the bobbins and plying off my lazy kate is a breeze. Would recommend for anyone wanting to make large quantities of yarn or art yarn!"

"I ordered the Ashford Basic Jumbo Flyer in August. Unfortunately, due to Covid, the order was delayed in being sent for a couple months. However, once I received it, it fit my wheel as expected, and has worked beautifully. I'm happily plying alpaca and love that I'm going to have some nice sized skeins.
