The Woolery Weave-Off 2026 is here!
We're having a Weave-Off to celebrate the New Year and new beginnings by being creative. What you need to do: Weave a table runner to compete in one of two categories: rigid heddle OR multi-shaft. You need to use our Bluegrass Mills 6/2 Cotton Yarn or Bluegrass Mills Hemp Yarn to weave your entry, so we're offering 25% off the price of both yarns from January 19th - February 16th! Three grand prize 1st place winners will win a Spectrum pack of our 6/2 Cotton and 2nd and 3rd place runner ups will win a $50 Woolery Gift Card. Anyone who participates but doesn't place will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card.
Note: We are unable to share draft information of winning table runners you may see in emails and/or social media.
How to Participate:
- Sign up for the Weave Off (form can be found below) (note: If you don't see a form, email elizabeth@woolery.com to be manually added.)
- Weave ONE table runner using Bluegrass Mills 6/2 Cotton OR Bluegrass Mills Hemp yarn using AT LEAST three colors (you may not dye the yarn). There is no size measurement requirement.
- Choose one to enter:
- Rigid Heddle: Show off what a rigid heddle loom can do! We suggest using 6/2 in plain weave at 15 or 16 EPI
- Multi-shaft: Challenge yourself! Use those shafts to create a pattern that goes above and beyond plain weave.
THEN
- Choose 1 inspiration photo from the 3 options below to base your table runner off of. We chose Kentucky landscapes to showcase our beautiful state!

- Email photos of your finished table runner along with a description of your project (including but not limited to: your inspiration/ thought process, sett, weave structure, challenges, etc) to elizabeth@woolery.com by April 3rd, 2026 with the subject line "WOOLERY WEAVE OFF - Inspiration Photo Choice A,B, or C + Rigid Heddle OR Multi-Shaft"
We will choose a winner (terms and restrictions for the contest portion of this challenge can be found at the bottom of this page) the second week of April. We reserve the right to share on social media all photos emailed to us, credited to the artist.- Photos MUST include at least one photo of your runner 'in use' or how you've chosen to style it, one photo on your loom, and one close up photo.
- Please make sure when you send your photos they are high quality, large or full size images. Sometimes email programs like to automatically resize photos.
- **OPTIONAL**: Post photos of your weaving to Facebook and Instagram and tag us @thewooleryshop or use #wooleryweaveoff
The prizes:
- Three grand prize 1st place winners will win a Spectrum pack of Bluegrass Mills 6/2 Cotton
- 6, 2nd and 3rd place runner ups will each win a $50 Woolery Gift Cards
- Anyone who doesn't win will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Woolery Gift Card

Here’s the fine print - we ask that you read completely before deciding to enter:
A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS IS REQUIRED.
1. Eligibility: Employees (and their immediate families) of The Woolery are not eligible. Woolery suppliers are also not eligible to win.
2. Open to U.S. and Canadian residents over the age of 18.
3. Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:
- Completion of project guidelines (projects completed and photo/information sent by April 3rd, 2026)
- Creativity and quality of table runners and write-ups sent via email
4. Entry Restrictions. Limit one (1) entry per person.
5. You MUST use Bluegrass Mills 6/2 Cotton or Bluegrass Mills Hemp to weave your table runner. You can only use Bluegrass Mills cotton or hemp, do not combine with other yarns, DO NOT dye the yarn.
6. Table runner design (color usage, sett, and weave structure, etc) must be original to the weaver. What this means is that while you may have drawn inspiration from an established weave structure, a book, magazine, etc. that you have chosen:
• The number of threads
• The sett
• Warp and weft color order
• Dimensions (width/length)
• Finishing method (Sewn hems, fringe, etc)
• The number of pattern repeats, etc.
7. By entering this contest, you agree that we can use your name and the image you post on our blog, in email and on social media.
8. Contest ends April 3rd, 2026. Winners will be announced the second week of April.
9. FORCE MAJEURE. If, for any reason, the contest (or any part thereof) is not capable of running as planned by reason of computer virus, bug, system malfunction, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, fire, flood, storm or other natural cataclysm, riot, strike, civil commotion, governmental regulation or any other causes beyond the control The Woolery which, in its sole opinion, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest (or any part thereof), The Woolery reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest and select the prize winner in a manner which is fair, equitable and in accordance with these Official Rules.
10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION/GOVERNING LAW. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the contest, you agree that: (a) any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to these Official Rules or this contest shall be filed exclusively in the federal or state courts of Franklin County, Kentucky and you hereby consent and submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action; (b) any such action shall be resolved individually, NOT as part of a class action; (c) any claims/judgments/awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred (if any), but NOT attorneys’ fees. These Official Rules and this Sweepstakes shall be governed by the internal, substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
